See & do
Around the Zeeuwse Landhoeve mini campsite
Looking for a holiday destination for your motorhome, caravan or tent? Our campsite lies on the northernmost tip of Zeeland, in Den Osse, close to picturesque Brouwershaven. Besides all its water sports, Schouwen-Duiveland has an enormous amount to offer. Gathering oysters, mountain biking, tasting the best local wine: you will run out of time here. So pack your camping gear and head for Zeeland!
Active in the Domeinen
Want to start your camping weekend actively? Head for Westenschouwen forest. This varied dune area is the largest forest in Zeeland. Several walking routes lead up and down the little hills between the pine trees. A bright blue forest lake makes you think you are in France. There is a good chance you will come face to face with deer and Shetland ponies. And then suddenly there is the sea! You hear it roaring long before you see it. The paths and routes are also excellent for trail running. Is cycling more your thing? A challenging mountain bike trail runs through the forest. You decide how many times you ride the 7-kilometre loop, highly recommended!

The Meeuwenduinen on Schouwen-Duiveland are a unique and extensive dune area where you can spot plenty of wildlife, including roe deer and fallow deer. Something for everyone … walking, cycling or running, you can do it all here.

For a special wine experience
On the edge of Dreischor you will find the De Kleine Schorre wine farm. Discover its world-class white wines. They are even drunk at great heights, in KLM business class. Walk through one of the largest vineyards in the Netherlands or taste the delicious wines in the tasting room. And of course you can take a bottle of wine back to the campsite.
A beautiful bike ride from the campsite to De Kleine Schorre … and you can have a lovely lunch there too!

Brouwersdam
(A 15-minute bike ride from our campsite)
The Brouwersdam is not just for water sports fans: the wide beach also invites you to a lovely day at the beach. Or to a drink on the terrace of the finest beach clubs.

Tip: spot seals, and on the North Sea side of the Brouwersdam the sunset is at its most beautiful!
The Brouwersdam is also a favourite stop for motorhome travellers because of its wonderful view over the water.

Seals live in the wild right next to the Brouwersdam. At the sluice on the Brouwersdam you can almost always see a few.
Or book a seal safari www.zeehondentourrenesse.nl

North Sea beaches
A weekend at our campsite is of course not complete without a good long walk on the beach.

Schouwen-Duiveland has 21 kilometres of North Sea beach in all.
This long stretch of coast runs all the way from the impressive Oosterschelde storm surge barrier to the popular Brouwersdam.

Oosterscheldekering

Marvel at the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier, which keeps the people of Zeeland’s feet dry at high water.
Walk as far as you like, stop at a beach café and watch the sun sink into the sea with a drink in your hand.

Harbour porpoises are hard to spot, but they really do live in the Oosterschelde. Your best chance of spotting porpoises:
From the shore
At the harbour head in Zierikzee you will find the listening buoy, the porpoise hotspot. Press the button at the listening post to find out whether porpoises are swimming nearby.

From the water
Spot porpoises and seals from a boat trip.
Such as the passenger ship De Onrust, or sailing along on the sailing ship Scaldis

Lake Grevelingen
(5 min. by bike)
Just 1 kilometre from our campsite you reach the little beach of Den Osse. Here you can take a lovely refreshing dip in the clear water of the Grevelingen. If you have no paddleboard of your own, you can hire one on the beach.
Because of the oyster shells on the beach, it is wise to bring water shoes.

Zierikzee

Zierikzee is a stunning historic town full of listed buildings on our island.
With more than 500 official listed buildings within its old town gates, the town breathes the rich atmosphere of its medieval trading past. It is a perfect mix of culture, lively squares, a busy harbour and unique Zeeland shops.
Brouwershaven

Brouwershaven is 2 km from the campsite: the oldest and loveliest town on the Grevelingen. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and everything Brouwershaven has to offer. After Zierikzee, Brouwershaven has the most listed buildings on Schouwen-Duiveland. The authentic town centre and the Markt with its adjoining classic little streets make a town walk well worth it.

Diving
Diving in Zeeland is great! Den Osse Nieuwe Kerkweg is one of the finest dive sites in the Grevelingen. It has an abundant biodiversity and many beautifully overgrown reef balls. These reef balls were placed in the spring of 2002. Look out for the large crabs and lobsters, or spot the bobtail squid and the magnificent dahlia anemones.
The Nieuwe Kerkweg dive site is 1.4 km from our campsite

Concert at Sea
For years now, CAS has been a great festival you can enjoy from our campsite: the festival site is easy to reach by car, by bike (5 km) or by shuttle bus.
During CAS you can only book with us per person and for at least 3 nights.

Location
A quiet spot in the polder
The campsite is at Dirksweg 3 in Brouwershaven, at the start of the hamlet of Den Osse. A wonderfully quiet spot and a fine base for getting to know Schouwen on foot or by bike.
